"Bier- und Oktoberfestmuseum" in Munich

Located in one of the oldest houses of Munich near the "Marienplatz" this little museum is really a piece of jewellery. The angled building gives the exhibits a quaint atmosphere.

On the ground floor there are some paintings with historical scenes of drinking beer.

The museums shows many exhibits of beer mugs. These two are one of the most spectacular ones.

The charge of the gulid of the brewer is also exhibited.

The part of the museum which shows some relics of the Oktoberfest is characterized with a lot of posters and of course once again beer mugs.

This shows the way back to the street. The very steep steps are called "Himmelsleiter" (engl.: stairway to heaven).

If you want you can try a beer in this really cozy "Stüberl".
